I first discovered Room 101 a couple years ago while attending a tattoo convention after-party. There was a guy there from Hawaii who was wearing the coolest bracelet and wallet chain I’d ever seen. Like Chrome Hearts jewelry, it was bold and chunky, but it was much more unique than the same old skull and crosses stuff. I asked him where he got it and he pointed me to their website. Shortly thereafter, I purchased one of their Fu bracelets, as well as a custom wallet chain. Since then, my collection has grown to include several rings, a couple of phenomenal silk shirts, and a custom hornback alligator wallet.
Room 101 is owned by Matt Booth, a former Marine and avid musician. His line incorporates several characters from Japanese history and mythology including “Fu” and “Jya”. He also makes a lot of stuff with blocky geometric shapes, padlocks, and dog tags. Recently, his line has also grown to include what he refers to as “The Strong Box”, which consists of “pave” (diamond and other precious stone encrusted) pieces.
Room 101’s celebrity clients include Pink, Guy Fieri, George Lynch of Dokken, and Chuck Liddell.
